… if the Rhine were golden wine!

Let yourself be drawn in …

… by the spell of the romantic Middle Rhine, the legendary Loreley cliffs, the noble castles and fortresses, and the steep vineyards left and right of the Rhine. What could be more beautiful and romantic than to enjoy this unique panorama from a boat.

The ”Goethe”, the oldest paddle-steamer on the Rhine, invites you on a boat tour along the many historical sights and vine-laden slopes. Such a sight makes you want to taste a select Bacharach Riesling, directly at the wine-maker’s, in a rustic tavern, or on our sun-terrace.

Water Games
If you feel like it, you can also discover the Rhine in other ways, for example, at the many small sandy beaches along its banks where you can swim, paddle, surf and canoe. Just ask us and we will tell you where the best spots are.

Cycling right and left of the Rhine

The bicycle track on the left side of the Rhine is about 119 km long and is one of the most beautiful routes directly on Germany’s longest river. The Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which is designated part of the UNESCO World Heritage, starts in Bingen, where the river Nahe flows into the Rhine and the Nahe and Rhine bicycle tracks meet (approx. 15 km from Bacharach) and ends in Koblenz.

Along the stretch between Bingen and Koblenz, medieval towns with largely preserved walls and numerous fortresses and castles invite you to make a stop. Resting places directly on the banks of the Rhine and atmospheric wine taverns encourage such breaks so that you can relax and enjoy the lifestyle of the people living along the Rhine.

At the so-called ”Deutsche Eck” (German Corner in Koblenz, ca. 48 km away), the Moselle cycle track meets the Rhine cycle track, so a short trip up the Moselle is certainly worthwhile. At the ”Binger Loch” (Bingen Gap, ca. 15 km away) you reach the Nahe cycle track which takes you in the direction of Bad Kreuznach (ca. 30 km).

Mountain bike fans also get their money’s worth along the Rhine. Easy-to-difficult stretches through the forests and meadows provide spectacular views of Father Rhine.

Our hotel guests can be provided with bicycles free of charge, if they are unable to bring along their own.
